Ninth Small Stone--Sycamore Leaves

Six sycamore leaves, saucer to dinner plate sizes, fly by flipping madly in the wind, disappear into Aileen’s yard.  A hummingbird pips and circles, then perches on a bare branch where the leaves used to live.

  2. I'm falling in love with this Small Stones project. It's amazing how just a few sentences can take me through such a range of experience.

Reading this, I want to tuck my hair into my hat and turn my face toward the wind.

  3. Hi Emily,
I agree! It's amazing how many different kinds of weather I can range through with each set of Small Stones, and I feel like I've been immersed in each one!
    cheers,
